FUN FACTS:


We celebrate April Fool's Day each year, but do you know how it started?
In the year 1623, there was no April 1st, it was then called March 32nd. Along came Dr. Lirpa.  He felt there was no sound reason why April always started on the 2nd day.  Dr. Lirpa was busy trying to get the calendar makers to change the order of days so that the names would be in alphabetical order. That would make Friday the first day and Wednesday the last.  But I digress. Dr. Lirpa was really distressed about there not being an April 1, so much, that he secretly changed the calendars that were being delivered to the monks for copying. Since the monks were "fooled," that name was given to April 1.

Thanks to our second baseman Jerry Harris,  we will be having billboard ads running on three (3) electronic billboards throughout the city.

We have this ad displaying on three Flynn Sign Company digital billboards.

 

  1. One at Interstate Dr (near the old movie theater).
  1. One on West Avenue traveling from Downtown toward the 5 Points Intersection.
  1. The third location is directly in front of Save A Lot across from Bucee’s

 

 


Hopefully, this will bring more attention and more players out to the fields.

In the event of an emergency, call 911 and give them the location as "CP WC."  These signs are posted on all the fields.
